Interested in taking on a personal project, I approached Moncton-based fashion and portrait photographer Denis Duquette about doing some behind-the-scenes photos at one of his fashion shoots. Denis mentioned that he had something in the works. The project, a collaboration with Moncton portrait and commercial photographer Aleksandr (Sasha) Onyshchenko, turned out to be what was eventually called The Marathon Shoot. In a single day, Denis and Sasha photographed 27 models over a period of 18 hours. My role, as documentary photographer, was to gather behind-the-scenes and candid images throughout the shoot.
